An Overview.

The picture is of the Reverse Bungee ride on the Singapore River.

This photograph is by Joseph Nebus.

What is that?

That is a picture of the Clarke Quay area along the Singapore River. The area used to be a center of trade, with small boats lining the river and cargo in regular shipment, but the efforts of the Singapore government to clean up the vicinity in the 1970s replaced it with -- on the western side -- skyscrapers full of commerce and banking organizations, and -- on the eastern side -- places for tourists to go. The lit towers are of the Reverse Bungee, here tossing a capsule of (one hopes) volunteers into the night sky. This is an exciting ride, and one can get a video CD made of one's ride. There are 6 pictures in the database presently, and one is presented after a random selection each time this page is loaded or reloaded.

What was that?

That was mainly a method of proving that the web server and my means of communicating with it are functioning correctly and as predicted. It will serve for some time to hold the place until a more substantial block of content can be prepared.

What now?

Now I shall develop a reasonable introduction to my skills, aptitude, and abilities in mathematics, web services, writing, education, research, and such other properties as may be relevant.
